A New Look, Less Headaches! 12:47pm
Well, we've finally come to the point where we think this website has outlived its usefulness. So, as of, well, the near future, empireoftwilight.tripod.com will cease to be an operating entity.
The good news, however, is that we are moving to an all new webpage that hopefully is smaller, faster, and, well, sports our guild colors. Come join us at www.eot.uoguilds.com. You will be assimilated!

Words from Our Fearless Leader 11:54pm
From our Emporer, Flint Fireforge:
We are joining up with the "alliance" to help free the city of Trinsic this weekend. I am hoping that I can have the support of every person capable of fighting join me this Saturday to free that fair city. The time for us to meet will be around 7pm EST. The start of the siege will be sometime around 8pm. I want to make sure that everyone who will be attending is prepared well in advance.
VICTORY TO THE ALLIANCE!!

Sharpen Your Swords, Laddies 1:12pm
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've realized that Britannia is under attack. From what I've gathered so far, it seems to be following the storyline of Ultima II. Minax, Mondain's apprentice and lover, is attack major cities. Currently, Trinsic is under complete control of Minax's general, Jou'Nar. Other cities such as Cove, Vesper, Delucia, and Shadowcove are being attacked as well. The main strength seems to be focused at Yew now that Trinsic has fallen.
In order to combat this invasion, the people of Chesapeake have formed an Alliance based in the small village of Haven, west of Trinsic. EoT is seeking membership with this Alliance so that we might aid in this battle (and kick some ass).
Now to the important news: the Alliance plans a MASSIVE invasion Friday night at 9pm. Read about the details at UO-Chessie Daily News. They will be starting at the City of Corwyn, south of the ferry to Skara Brae, and sweeping through Shadowcove (a village south of Britain that is being harrassed by lizardmen and ratmen) to finally bring their full bear on Trinsic. Read more information about this as well as a map of the cities involved at the Crisis in Britannia site. Good luck, guys. And have fun.

Important PvP Changes! |

Fletching is For More Than Just Gaining Dex 3:42pm
Looks like the guys at UO Dev got bored and decided to mess around with things:
Player vs Player Combat Enhancements The following was just updated to In Concept: Player vs. Player Combat Enhancements Changes to combat skills and weapons to increase the diversity and tactics in player vs. player combat (PvP) and combat as a whole. Note that many of these changes are related to each other. It is important to consider all of the changes together, rather than looking at one change by itself. Be sure to read the entire document carefully before sending in your comments using the link below. Archery The archery skill will be tweaked to balance it and make it more effective in Player vs. Player combat. - The minimum damage on bows, crossbows, and heavy crossbows will be increased.
- The maximum damage on bows, crossbows, and heavy crossbows will be decreased a small amount.
- The rate of fire will be increased a small amount for bows, crossbows, and heavy crossbows.
- The long equip delay for all bows will be tweaked.
- Archery will have slight increase in its chance to hit when compared to other attacks.
- Issues with hitting while moving and firing will be addressed.
Poisoning - You will not be able to heal a poisoned character through any method (healing skill, spells, potions, etc.) until they are first cured of the poison.
- Poisoned weapons will corrode unless wiped clean with oil cloth (which will be made by tailors). The more often a poisoned weapon is used before being wiped clean, the more durability it loses.
- Only one-handed bladed weapons can be poisoned.
Parrying The amount of melee damage absorbed from parrying will be increased. Lumberjacking and Axes The lumberjacking skill will provide a bonus to damage when the player is using one of the following axes. The higher the characters lumberjacking skill the more damage they will do up to a 15% bonus for 99.9 lumberjacking. At Grandmaster lumberjacking, the damage bonus is 20%. - Axe
- Battle Axe
- Double Axe
- Executioner's Axe
- Hatchet
- Large Battle Axe
- Two-handed Axe
Two-handed Weapons Any melee weapon that requires two hands to wield will gain the following special attacks: - Crushing blow: A hit for double damage.
- Concussion blow: Victim's intelligence is halved for 30 seconds.
- Paralyzing blow: Victim is paralyzed for 5 seconds. Paralysis can be broken under the same circumstances for the paralyze spell.
Upon a successful hit, there will be a small chance to inflict one of the special attacks. The base chance to inflict one of the special attacks is 20%. A high intelligence will give a small bonus towards the chance to execute a special attack up to a total chance of 30%. Maces The bonus for damaging armor and lowering stamina will now be restricted to the following mace weapons: - Mace
- War Mace
- War Hammer
- War Axe
- Hammer Pick
- Club
- Maul
Wands, staves, and smith hammers will not damage armor or reduce stamina. Hitting and Dexterity Currently, melee weapons check for whether a hit is successful or not in the beginning of the swing animation. This will now be scaled based on dexterity. The higher your dexterity, the earlier in your swing you hit. At very low dexterities, you will not hit until the end of your swing. Thievery Changes - You will be able to steal items from others while in combat. All requirements for stealing (such as being in the thieves guild) will still apply.
- You will not be removed from the thieves guild if you receive a murder count.
Armor Changes Armor ratings and dexterity penalties will be modified. The table below illustrates the changes: Armor Type AR Rating Dex Penalty (full set) Plate 40 -22 Chain 28 -12 Ring 22 -6 Studded Leather 16 0 Leather 13 0 Bone 30 -15 Additionally, leather armor will not cause any meditation or stealth penalty. Recall You will not be able to recall if you are an aggressor to another player or the pet/creature of another player. This will not be the case when attacking monsters. Ride-able Animals Fatigue The exploit that allows a ride-able animal to be refreshed after becoming fatigued will be addressed. Feeding a ride-able animal food will increase its stamina and all ride-able animals will have the amount of time they can be ridden before becoming fatigued increased. Wrestling Moves New attacks with the wrestling skill. - Disarm
- Characters with 80 or higher in both wrestling and arms lore can attempt to disarm an opponent. If successful, any weapon or spellbook in the target's hand will be removed and placed in the target's backpack.
- Stun Punch
- Characters with 80 or higher in both wrestling and anatomy can attempt to stun their opponents. A successful stun punch will paralyze a target for 5 seconds.
To perform one of these special attacks, players will need to set a macro to put themselves in the appropriate wrestling "mode". Both hands must be free in order to perform a move. - New macros called "StunPunch" and "Disarm" will facilitate this. Once in the special attack mode, the character will attempt the maneuver with each successful hit.
- If a maneuver is performed successfully the wrestler will automatically go out of their wrestling mode. There is a 10 second delay before the wrestler can perform another move.
- While in a wrestling mode, each attempt to perform a maneuver (each hit or miss) will result in a loss of 5 stamina.
- The higher a characters wrestling and other skill (anatomy or arms lore), the higher chance they will have to successfully perform the move.
Spellbooks In order to cast a spell, mages must have their spellbook equipped. Magic Reflect The magic reflect spell will be enhanced to provide additional tactical options in player versus player combat. At this time, any spell, regardless of its circle, can be used to counter a magic reflect spell. This results in the same spell (or few spells) being used every time to bring down the reflect. This change will add variety and additional tactical options when fighting a character who has cast magic reflect. - The level of the spell cast on a target will determine the percent chance to bring down the reflect. The more powerful the spell you cast, the better chance you have of defeating the magic reflect spell.
- If the spell is not successful in bringing down the magic reflect, the spell will be reflected back to the caster, as under the current system. However, the target will not lose their reflect spell.
- If a spell is cast and reflected, the chance for a second spell to bring down the reflect will increase. The percent chance to bring down the reflect is cumulative.
- Once a spell is cast that succeeds in bringing down the reflect spell, it will damage the target. This is true even if the first spell cast successfully breaks the reflect.
- Once a reflect is broken, there is a 10 second delay before the target can cast reflect again. This will stop players from simply casting magic reflect over and over again.
- The power of a reflect spell will also be dependent on the caster's intelligence.
- The higher your intelligence, the more powerful your reflect will be. More powerful reflects will be more difficult to bring down, and conversely, weaker reflects (cast by those with lower intelligence) will be easier to bring down.
- The mind blast spell will do significant damage to any caster who has this spell reflected onto them. This is to prevent players from simply casting this spell to bring down the reflect, knowing it will do little to no damage to them if it is not successful.
- Items of reflection will take 60 seconds to charge.
- After equipping a reflect item there will be a 60 second delay before the reflect is active.
- This will use only one charge from the item.
- The reflect will act in the same manner as if it had been cast by the character wearing the item.
- Once the reflect is broken, the wearer must wait 60 seconds before the item will place another reflect spell.
Overall, these change should provide both diversity and enhanced tactics in PvP. We are very interested in hearing what you think about these ideas and invite you to provide us with feedback by clicking here - Joshua Rowan
This was taken from Stratics, by the way. Sound interesting?

You Ask For It, You Got It 3:42pm
Check out this link to UO Chesapeake. Looks like an intershard campaign is starting, a quest of major proportions, similar to the old FoA thing. My opinion: EoT needs to join in on this. Even Lord British has made a rare appearance to talk about it meaning SOMETHING is up, eh? More information as a get it.

Our Fearless Leader... Only on Weekends 12:17pm
News from the front. Our fearless friend and fellow Knight of the EoT, Lorial, has been declared Leader on weekends. This is primarily because neither Emporer Flint nor his trusty Chancellor Blackmore are usually on during the weekends.
"I would like to know what you think of this. Please ICQ me with your response to it. If I get a lot of bad things, it will not happen. The reason this is happening is so that there is someone that has some control of guild activities when myself and Blackmore are not on (which is mainly weekends and late nights)." It's lawsuit time!
Bad Aftermaths 12:19pm
I'm sure we've all heard at this point that there was a MASSIVE banning yesterday throughout both the Chesapeake and SP shards, from 200 to as high as 300 individual accounts. Apparently, the group at the center of the ban was that infamous PvPing guild, KoC. Unfortunately, the killing blow managed to catch every damn single person they had ever talked to as well. I've lost a lot of friends who I knew for a fact weren't cheaters and exploiters. This is the only explanation OSI will give:
Hello,
We have recently performed an exhaustive search regarding wide spread use of exploits, Terms of Service violations,
and Rules of Conduct violations in our service. All accounts and individuals involved that were discovered in this search
have had their accounts suspended. This information was assembled over the period of weeks leading up to today, and
the review of what transpired goes back several months.
Several persons on numerous accounts have decided to engage in exploitative activities for some time on multiple
shards for personal gain. These exploits ranged from inappropriate character management and advancement to
server-wide sharing of game resources gained through exploits. No use of any exploit is acceptable by Origin Systems or
by Electronic Arts - once the information was compiled, the immediate necessary action was taken to protect the Ultima
Online service.
Your account has been verified to be linked to these exploiters, either by logging into the accounts of the known
exploiters or by them logging into yours. In either case, we have positively identified through IP logs, account logs,
character records, and other methods that this has happened. Every account that has been associated with those
accounts has been removed from the Ultima Online service in an attempt to ensure that these actions and their
consequences are completely eliminated.
The closure of this and other implicated accounts was done so with the best interests of Ultima Online and its
community in mind. Due to the extreme nature of the exploits, the damage inflicted on the UO community, and the
blatant disregard of the Terms of Service and the Rules of Conduct, we feel it necessary to discontinue providing
service and doing business with all accounts involved.
Thank you for your time,
Ultima Online Player Relations
Origin Systems, Inc.
Excuse me, I seem to have a bad taste in my mouth now....

Bad News For Certain Parties 3:09pm
News report in from UOC concerning name change deeds:
This is from a post from Cal on the COB Crossroads board, concerning name-change deeds...
"They have not been cancelled, they've been put behind more important issues like housing features (both auction and actually being able to place them), monster AI, PvP, expanded lands, etc. Features that will have a much broader and larger influence (and improvement) on the game.
Name Change Deeds were put in In Development, they were never In Testing, nor did we ever give a date for their release. We fully intend to implement them in the future, but they will not be in the near future. As I said, there are other features that are more far reaching and will affect the player base as a whole (such as the ones I mentioned above) that have taken priority at this time. I know some people are disappointed about the delay and I don't blame anyone for that.
My apologies if for some reason this change in priority speaks to my credibility. It's my job here to give you the most up to date information and the reasons behind decisions that we make. I feel that in this case, I have done just that."

No, "Buttcake" is NOT a valid name 12:20pm
News from the our Guild Master:
Flint Fireforge is no longer going to be with us, in name that is. I am
offering a 5k incentive to come up with a new name for him. I would like to
keep it along the same lines, but definitely have Fireforge as the last
name. There are just way to many Flints in Brittania and they are all
giving me a bad rep that is very hard to overcome. Thank you for your help
in this matter. Also, if you can find a name change deed let me know
exactly where to buy it please. Do not buy it cause if you did that then I
would end up with like 10 or so of them and don't want you to waste your
gold on my problem. Thanks again.

Some news from our friend Arlyn concerning cheap guild goods:
Hail all. This is Arlyn, your resident valorite bender just letting
you know that I am once again stocking one of my vendors in the
Moonglow vendor house. Currently there are 2 vendors there that are
restocked. Flint's fishing vendor, and Jacques, my smithing vendor.
He is usually stocked with gm exceptional kryss, katana, heaters,
archer suits, and 30AR plate. Often there is a colored suit of some
sort there too. My house is located about 4 screens north of the
moongate, of 7 or so screens out of the south gate. There will soon
me openeing a magic weapons vendor. Also, if any of you would like
to open a vendor there, let me know. I am looking to put my house

Ovak's da Man 1:06pm
A report from the Olympic front:
well, things went pretty good with the paladins battle after a minor problem at first.
things started off very badly, almost made me want to go home. the problem was there was one person there saying the fight was not fair because there was macers in it and he couldnt use poisoned weapons.
Angel decided to take and have the macers fight by themselves to rectify this. i thought it was a bad choice but oh well. i tried to argue to no avail.
we gated to the spot where things would take place. once there, i was first to fight. i made very quick work of this person, then the others fought. keep in mind that macers were not in the fight with the swords (there were no fincers there).
second round come along and i got to fight the first female orc i have seen. didnt take long to finish her off either. with my win in that i took gold
medal.
the others fought and got down to one winner. at that point i thought it only fair to have a final fight between the 2 of us to determine who got the
gold, instead of both of us fighting.
(this was another lame part of it) i offered to give up my gold medal for a final fight. the other questioned this very hard. he was told that he had
nothing to lose cause he would still get a gold no matter what. (thought that was very lame).
he accepted it and we began to fight. i dont know what happened to me, but he hit me the first time and i was at half my str almost. it was all
down hill from there. i couldnt hit and he could. took me out kinda fast. i did not yield, i made sure that he took me to the ground. after i was
down, someone tried to loot me and angel gladly gave the order to take him down. he did not last long between the corp pors that filled my
screen. i mean out of about 20 of us there, i know he got hit with about 15 of them. i gladly collected the belongings he tried to get from me.
lord edward proved he was a better man this day, just wish there was others from the guild there to fight by my side, but i know things come up.
none the less, all in all, i showed that eot was nothing to mess around with.
we now have a medal to prove it, we just need a chest to pin it on now. hehe.
take care all, Ovak Fireforge
Congratulate Ovak, everybody, bring of fame to the guild! Now we get to see who's going to PK him first to get the silver medal from him....

Just another warning guys. I'm sure you've heard this millions of times but you never know when it's going to be you. There is a trojan horse copy of UOE going about that has been used to hack accounts. A friend of ours has been a victim: not only did the hacker screw his stuff up, he actually went to the extent of deleting all his characters. So, for God's sake people, don't accept files from anybody you don't REALLY know and run an anti-trojan program every now and then. Here's a good one.

It is my humble suggestion that we all try to support our fellow Olympic athletes who will be fighting for the glory of Magincia (or whatever...) Here is the schedule for those who want to see Max, Losgar, Flint, and others crack some skulls and... um... mine some ore.

"I Work Hard For No Money...." 2:56pm
Okay, I've spent a rather entertaining day putting this website back together so that we can access all the stuff we used to have fun bragging about. The plan is still to eventually migrate to UO-Guilds but, for now, I wanted to have something to work with.
On the other hand, the Mets lost so I'm probably going to set fire to something now. I suppose it ended rather poetically but, frankly, I prefer the poetry of a World Series ring on Bobby Valentine's hand.
Also, if anybody does write a nice story/take pictures of a dungeon type adventure, feel free to turn them in. Everything currently on this site will transfer to the new one no matter how different I make it. So, let's hear about your adventures. Or burn.

Power Trippin' 3:57pm
Okay guys, time for you to deal with this: I'm the new webmaster, the mouth of EoT. I love power. It's me, Gayde Rylock, by the way. First news of the minute is that I'm probably going to move this webpage over to the UO-Guilds network because Tripod seems to be a bit flakey. This should happen over the next few weeks. I've already applied for the address www.eot.uoguilds.com but you never know when that's gonna happen.
Among the more interesting news, the Tournament of Really Butch EoT Guys has finally ended and, that's right, I died. But, among the many finishes:
Max Carnage kicked everybody's butt and is now the General of EoT.
Ovak Fireforge kicked everybody's butt except Max's and is our Marshall.
Rock Vanderbashe of the Famous Vanderbashes is now known as Captain Rock.
Finally, Shaka-Zulu, who so firmly planted his spear directly into my kidney, is our Lieutenant until the point at which somebody tells me the correct spelling of "Lieutenant".
Finally, I would like to link to myself.

Update! 7:30pm
Remember that I told you that the people would start building up piles of garbage since
the announcement of the ticket system? Well, look this fragment that was posted recently
in the FYI section of the Update Center:
During the two weeks the Ticket System is active on the
shards (scheduled to begin October 4th) we will be stepping up our efforts to stop people
who macro unattended. 7
Well, OSI finally realised this and they want people
to be scared so they don't do it.
Also, the In Developement section was updated with LOTS of stuff. Thanks to
Jinx for the heads-up, a Proxy Server Cache issue did not reveal this great information to
me when I checked... Some of the changes are clearily Exploit fixes... please go read them and let me know what the exploits
were... (hey, I'm no exploiter! I stopped Duping when OSI published the Amnesty thing much
more than a year ago!)
One of the fixes inludes a one-time chance for changing your character's
name! Jesus! The world must be coming to an end. This has been
asked for since (or earlier than) UO beta test phase two!
It's official. The tournament will end next Friday
October 8, 1999 at exactly 8:00pm EoT standard time. (that means Flint's Casio
wristwatch). At that moment, all combatants of the fights which are still undecided
will be automatically disqualified. That means you have to find the time to fight.
Also, you will have to start pushing the ones who have to fight so your pending
fight can take place. Please contact your opponent and the Guild council
members.
When the Tournament is over, the Guild military rankings will be assigned.
Also, it's very likely be starting a 'Challenge' process, where you will be able to
challenge the holders of these rankings. Details on this will be published soon.

Update! 2:00pm
Well. I will change my wish-list somewhat.
First, it seems confirmed, locked down containers won't retain their contents. But, They
seem to be *planning* to increase the number of secure container options and
to allow stackables to be locked down. That's nice, heck, that's even
better than the locked down containers thing I was after. Let's see what the heck
"planning" means this time... My worry is, they have about 5 days to plan,
design, implement and test. If that time is not enough then it will most surely be
enough to ... well ... create total player base havoc... (the exact name for what will
happen is not sutiable for all audiences)
Now, regarding to the most asked questions: "Whose fault? Why me? Why now? Can I go
to the bathroom?"... Well, its definitely OSI's fault. They
should have known, something similar to this should have been implemented YEARS ago.
Real-life years, in Britannian years its like 300 years ago? more?
They tried once, but got scared as hell of the player base, that was the housing
maintenance. They also have implemented very recently, changes that actually PROMOTE
garbage hoarding in the houses floor... for example... fishing and treasure hunting.
You get tons of useless items along with the cool ones. Is it the player's
fault? well, I would say no. Those people who have their houses full to the ceiling
with wooden shields of defense are just playing by the rules.
Regarding to the ticket system that will allegedly award the garbage collectors, I
would say that a very high percentage of us are garbage collectors. And Im almost
sure it even includes Lum, Jinx and Calandryll (if he still plays). Heck, even
LadyMOI must have been "one of us" when she remembered what was the name of the
Guild she was in. Imagine this... Gordon the TyrantTM playing
that-crappy-game-he-was-in-before-UO carring a sh*tload of items on his backpack.
Now, even if it is not our fault, we should not whine... it's obvious these steps are on
the right direction. I'm sure that after the dust settles (lets just hope the tornado goes
away someday soon) Britannia will be much more lag-free and the timewarps will be much
less of an issue.
Phase I of the now called "Cleanup
Britannia" campaign will start real soon, as soon as October 4. Read about it. Did you read it? Cool huh?
Wait!
First read about Phase II and III. Read
that? Scared already? Me too.
Now read what Lum has to say about it. Lum:
the update says locked down items, not locked down containers and their contents. I have
not read what Jinx has to say because he does not
update from home. I will surely go read it tomorrow!
What I have to say is, well, I will most probably have my UO back up and running
BEFORE Oct. 4. And I will be busy as hell locking down and/or arranging/sorting
items (read my personal and valuable garbage) VERY NEARBY my trash barrel.
I will also be ranting CONTINUOUSLY in favor of making locked down containers and
THEIR CONTENTS so that they don't decay... what I read only included the locked down items
themselves. I will be asking a lot about OSI clarifying what is the current item
count on servers and their target for item count on the servers. So that they
justify such strict rules.
I will also be laughing hard in the faces of people who were crying about the house
maintenance plans that never got into the game... or will that be sobbing? I dont know
yet.
And I will also be praying so that you (yeah, You. No, dont look away, its really
YOU!) post in our humble message
board all of your thoughts and comments on this issue. What are you waiting for? An invitation?
Now, what you should do (besides posting like crazy in the msg board) is keep coming back,
because I shall bring more! Did I mention that you should post in our message board?

Tickets, Prizes and the Document
that caused Hatred |
Wednesday
September 29, 1999 |
|
OSI has (or had) plans on publishing changes that
will promote the players to lower the number of objects in Britannia. This is to
lower lag, improve on the timewarp problems, improve on the server stability issues,
improve chances of getting laid (less lag=you get more l33t), etc. Read more about
it here and here.
These changes inlcude the transformation of trash cans and barrels into 'ticket' spitting
beasts for a limited time. These tickets will give you the ability to obtain very
cool items while you clean your house. The more tickets the cooler the items you
will get.
That is interesting enough, however, DrTwit got a document
supposedly intended for counselors. In this document we can read more details than we were
supposed to know, so OSI, or at least Calandryll did not become happier people.
My comments on these matters are, well, this ticket thing is supposed to lower the amount
of garbage in Britannia. But they seem to have plans for this to be a temporary
thing. If it works, it will be great for a couple of months, then the world will be
filled with garbage again in no time. This (or whatever they decide to implement to
control item count) must be PERMANENT so the garbage wont start piling up again.
Also, this ticket thing will get a lot of people mad, because people already
started switching to garbage-piling-mode and the more lag-creating-garbage you
currently have, the cooler items you will get. Expect lag to become
increasinlgy bad in the following weeks 'till patch day.
Another thing is, the 'item decay' change they are thinking of putting up and of which we
have no real details of. This will make even MORE people mad. If the whole
scheme works on permanently cleaning Britannia of 60-70% of the garbage that we currently
have, they gave my green light on that. Heck, it could even mean that we gain 1+
hours of gameplay daily because the backups will take much less time, and this also means
lower timewarps.
More info on these matters will follow, so stay tuned.

The Tournament standings were updated. Check the
current standings:
Important! We urge you to try to make time AND contact either your
opponent and/or the Guild authorities so the remaining fights take place. Otherwise,
we *might* be forced to find alternate ways of deciding the outcome of the guild standing
dispute.

Also, Dr. Twister
is posting lots about UO2. Most of the UO rant sites are ranting about Dr Twister
getting the info... the only question is if what he is posting is not just a bunch of
lies.

Lots going on |
Friday
September 24, 1999 |
|
Aye, lots, get ready for lots of web link clickin'...
OSI finally decided to announce what everyone else knew, UO2
is already on the works. Nearly all of the other pages have news about it. The most interesting tidbit (what
is a tidbit anyway?) that I picked up was that both Raph Koster (aka Designer Dragon) and
Lord British (aka Richard Garriott) are apparently not directly related
to the project. My hopes of getting Ultima-series
fiction in any edition of UO are vanishing quickly. Also, the release date for
the external testing period (when we get to play almost free... I hope) should start
sometime next year. Well, just make sure you join the mailing list at the UO2
official website, I beleive it will be kind of a heads-up for getting into the upcoming
testing program.
More news, there a very interesting Post Patch
Mini-Update (I´m going to start marketing the
acronym: PPMU,
remember, you saw it here first. The interesting part is the freebie items that will
appear in our pack when we log on. Just be sure you get in before Oct. 4!
Also, at the UOHoC website, the latest, entirely
uninteresting, chat log with
the UO Dev team. Well, it was not really the dev team, it was some guy whose name I
already forgot who claims to be a new dev team member. Ah, Calandryll (was that
correctly spelled?) was also attending... Since he revealed that his boss is
actually LadyMOI his popularity has been somewhat on the decline.
Even more news: cdmag.com published lots of information
regarding Ultima IX: Ascension. Check out the leads here, here and here. I do not
know why I am posting links to their website since thet havent sent me my prize on the
Ultima memory contest. :P
Also, I received an email from Calandryll himself (ah, I forgot. no biggie), regarding
Ultima-fiction in UO. Read the details here.
I also put up the picture of Eric on the Members page.
And to finish the link spree, read this sad story.

Family Pictures |
Wednesday
September 22, 1999 |
|
Yeah, I finally put up a page with pictures of the
new Baby. As a throwaway I also put up some family pictures too. Since the baby
frenzy hasnt really ended yet, expect more pictures up soon. :)
Now, to the news. Today, it's patch day. You prolly already know that by now
tho. Let God help us all.
And on to more important stories, Sierra On-Line in another move that gives hints on
exactly how much they STILL suck, dropped the Middle-Earth Massive Multiplayer ORPG
project based on Tolkien's fantasy. They also apparently fired most or all of the ME
Dev staff. Read more about these news here and here.

I found these news on the web (well, actually a
friend sent the link to me, i'm lazy). I noticed the obvious relevance in our
current lives and I decided that It was a must-post. So, here it is. Enjoy!
Regarding to UO... well, there has been news about bannings, exploits
and why we get this horrible lag and get disconnected
every short while.

If you are on this table, and you have a fight
scheduled with someone, please try to inquiry either your Guild Master (or nearest guild
council member), or your opponent (or both) so the fight can take place as soon as
possible.
Also, dont forget to tell your friends to come and visit our humble web page, the web
visits are on a decline. At first I thought it was because of the lack of updates,
but I've been working hard to get them back to more than daily. Comments welcome.

Earthquake at Cove |
Saturday
September 4, 1999 |
|
Today a terrible earthquake took place just in front of Cove entrance. This
earthquake moved several houses and apparently spat up the pieces of others! Don't beleive
me? LOOK!
|
Whiplash and the Quake's remains. Notice
the perplexed look on her eyes. |
|
Get fresh air, said the doctor. But this is
way too much! |

Easy Transport |
Thursday
September 2, 1999 |
|
Hello. I am still mad because nobody cares to put any
form of Ultima-series fiction in UO. So I decided to put up a link to this "tip" on how to
easily transport large amounts of raw materials quickly. :)
And no, that was not just an excuse to post a link to this kind of tip.
