Interview with a Murderer

<mangar> how are you
<flint> just to let you know how this idea came up
<flint> I am doing good
<flint> me and a friend of mine were talking and he asked alot about pking and I couldn't answer him
<mangar> good
<flint> so he had an idea about doing it this way
<mangar> yeah
<flint> ok are you a blue pk or do you stay red alot?
<flint> If you understand that
<mangar> I'm a perma red
<flint> ok
<flint> now how do you get the things you need, such as weapons and stuff like that?
<flint> things that you would normally buy in town
<mangar> well me and my best friend in real life
<mangar> play uo in the same room
<mangar> so if I need stuff I log him on
<mangar> and get whatever I need
<flint> so he is not a pk?
<mangar> he is
<mangar> but likes to stay blue
<mangar> his name is souldancer
<flint> so then you would take and buy something then transfer it to yourself using him
<mangar> it is easy like that
<flint> ok, now when you go hunting do you go alone or is it a pack thing?
<flint> with a group I mean
<mangar> well I usually go with friends
<mangar> but if no one is on then I go by myself
<flint> and how many would go? usually on an average
<mangar> like 3-4
<mangar> too hard to go by self
<flint> yeah, I have seen many a pk die to my hands when they are alone.
<flint> and if I may ask, what kind of tactics do you use?
<mangar> well I attack the first person I see
<mangar> the rest heal me and go grey
<flint> is that with magic that you attack?
<mangar> if they get attacked they jump in.
<mangar> yeah, I am gm mage and gm eval
<flint> ahh, now do you ever go hand to hand with anyone? or try to avoid that?
<mangar> I do but its hard
<mangar> cause anyone that sees it will jump in and attack me
<flint> ahh, and how profitable is pking?
<mangar> great
<mangar> we have, at the house, like 100 magic weapons per person
<mangar> we kill, have good loot
<mangar> we don't kill miners or newbies
<flint> I respect that cause I'm a miner myself
<mangar> no fun, they sit there and don't move, they beg, I feel sorry for them
<flint> tis one thing I have no respect for is a miner killer
<mangar> cause I remember when I was a miner
<flint> yep, tis why I started fighting cause of the pks in minoc
<flint> do you have non-pks that you play?
<mangar> I would like to kill the pks there
<mangar> when I mined it was in town boundaries of Britain
<mangar> so I never got killed mining
<flint> yeah, now I mine in delucia in town boundaries
<mangar> I heard some horror stories there
<flint> what do you mean?
<flint> as in people in town getting killed?
<flint> or just miners in general getting killed?
<mangar> my friend had 500 ingots in minoc
<mangar> and got gang banged
<flint> yep, been there, done that
<flint> the most I ever lost was like 1,000 ingots at one time
<mangar> started playing uo because of pking
<flint> ahh, so you have been a pk the whole time?
<mangar> well training to be one
<mangar> I have like 35 kills
<flint> that is true, newbies don't make good pks
<flint> do you ever macro to get the red status back to blue?
<mangar> nope, I cant
<flint> that is cool, I like your type alot
<mangar> thanx
<flint> at least I see you coming
<mangar> it is fun that way
<flint> if you know what I mean
<mangar> cause no one attacks a blue anymore
<mangar> red, everyone attacks
<mangar> then I can fight back
<flint> now what do you do about dying?
<mangar> well, shit happens if you know what I mean.
<flint> but I mean, how do you get resed?
<mangar> see how it is with souldancer in the same room, comes in handy
<mangar> I only go places alone where Soul can gate me out
<flint> and does he ress you?
<mangar> we leave runes on the floor at the house
<mangar> yeah I used his guy to res me
<flint> that is cool
<mangar> it is easy for me to be perma red with that kind of advantage
<flint> does he suffer any penalties for ressing you?
<mangar> nope, he goes grey in the house then back to blue for the 2 minutes
<flint> that is cool
<mangar> I am lucky to have a set up like this
<flint> and do you suffer any penalties when you die?
<mangar> nope
<flint> what happened to skills loss and the likes of that?
<mangar> I make sure I am not in stat loss when I go out so I lose nothing
<flint> and how do you do that?
<mangar> say outloud "I must consider my sins" and it tells you "the living will wreck havok upon your soul" you are then in stat loss
<flint> ahh, and what happens when you get that message?
<flint> what do you have to do to rectify it I mean.
<mangar> just stay online for 8 hours
<flint> ahhhh
<flint> does it matter how many kills you have?
<mangar> when you are red, when you go red, you have 0 kills towards stat loss you kill one blue, you have 1 kill towards stat loss, when you hit 5 that is stat loss, stay on for 8 hours and it takes you to 4 kills, another 8 hours takes you to 3, and so on and so on
<flint> cool got the idea now
<flint> ummm, is there any reason you like the pking?
<mangar> yeah, I like the feeling that someone is on the other side of the cpu screaming and cursing, cause I killed him/her, cause I know that is what I do
<flint> have you ever stuck around to see what the ghosts are saying?
<mangar> when I die? naaahhhh
<mangar> I tell them to beat it cause I ain't ressing, cause if somehow I die and they loot me then they won and I don't want them to win
<flint> true, good way to look at it
